Had the pleasure last evening of taking some senior pictures for a soon-to-be graduate of Olathe Northwest High School. He was a very pleasant young man who seems to know what he wants to do in the future. We took some traditional photos of him, which his mom loved. And we also created the portrait below. Both Matt and Mom loved the photo enough that Matt got many wallets and mom got 5×7s.

Everyone has different goals in what they want from their senior portrait session. My only goal is to make you look good, may you happy and create memories that will last a lifetime. Bring your ideas. Bring your good attitude. Bring a change of clothes. We’ll do the rest.

Creating a photo to last a lifetime takes some planning. Or it can happen in an instance. Take the photo seen here. I was working a soccer tournament out in Germantown, MD (just outside of Washington, DC) when I captured this image. While this is not technically a senior picture, it is a photo of what we can do for you, too.

Keep in mind a couple of things when looking at the photograph. One, it was done with film. You know, the old fashioned way. Two, while the image in color is compelling it goes to amazing when isolating the young lady from her environment by leaving her in color and placing the background in black and white. Keep in mind, in the old days this took a lot more work than it does now. (The old days being the late ’90s.)

All these years later this photo (and others) are still shown on the Germantown SoccerPlex’s website. It’s a timeless image of a young lady doing what she does. A memory captured that will help her re-live that day over and over.

If you are looking for an image that will last a lifetime then you’ve come to the right place. I can do the same for you.

Give me a call. 913.782.7427.
